According to the five years of the strategic plan (2003-2008), through the invigoration project of the civil society using participative tools and social advocacy profession to promote the citizenship in Mozambique, AMOPROC is strategically subdivide in three sectors: SEFAT (Training Services and Technical Support), SECI (Services of Communication and information) and SEPMARK (Services of Projects and Marketing) in order to implement the following programs:

Use of Participative Tools and Social Advocacy

The citizen's participation in democratic processes influence to processes of decisions for all of the most transparent levels, where citizens achievement discuss, they interact and they contribute with ideas, perceptions and they relate with their way of life face the development whose, one of the enormous tools that has catalyzed these forms of acting is the Social advocacy profession. The Social advocacy profession articulates and mobilizes the citizens to work in common interests through well organized citizens' specific groups to influence the public politics.

AMOPROC is the only one NGO in Mozambique accomplishes training, technical aid and attendance non government organizations, private institutions, institutions of the Government, community organizations based in Social advocacy profession in the areas of intervention. For such it has the training package that includes materials that have been used in Mozambique and other parts of the world with success. The materials are constantly gotten better and refined according with the courses, exchange of experiences, actions and legal profession campaign that AMOPROC has been accomplishing in way you turn it them simpler and comprehensible for the Citizen.

AMOPROC has been accomplishing technical support and attendance to such social organizations and others interested that want to mobilize the citizen's participation in decision makers processes of all the levels, helping them to use tools of social legal profession, how to develop and to use the tactics, organs of social communication, to build and to work with coalitions, choosing tactics and objectives, etc.

Strategically, AMOPROC has state to establish after the training courses in strategies of social legal profession, small local nucleous to the level of the provinces and districts in order to impel the lobby activities and legal profession.

Awareness and Civic Mobilization

The community's participation based on the information, in the way of thinking, to act and to execute programs to revitalize the social life, economic and politic, it constitutes the central and relevant element, because it assures the effective and maintainable development. AMOPROC has been accomplishing activities of civic and conscious mobilization in their intervention areas through legal profession actions using the production and multiplication of several informative materials (brochures, pamphlets, guides of social orientation, manuals, pocket-sized books), videos, cultural and sport events, lectures, contacts door by door, discussions opened in groups that they are preceded of activities in the formation and lectures to the local activists, besides the attendance and form technical support to influence the civic mobilization for a conscious, inclusive participative and civic work.

According the intervention areas, AMOPROC has been motivating the participation and inclusion of several actors ( non government organization, private institutions, religious organizations, institutions of the Government, community organizations and the local communities) in works of partnerships and in agreement with the specific geographical areas for the production of the materials of information and civic mobilization to be owners of their own well being and the impact has been larger because the ethnic divisions such as politicize, religious, etc are respected.

Another strategy to point out is the use of the organs of local national social communication in order to diffuse and reach enormous geographical spaces in the conscience, transparency and influence.

AMOPROC has been girding in the implementation of their activities giving larger focus for works in partnership with other non government and government institutions in intervention areas and areas similar geographies, they can join their efforts and ideals in benefit of the civil society.

Gender and Development

The inequality of gender is actually a key factor that perpetuates the poverty and it limits the effective exercise of the democracy for all of the citizens in Mozambique. Serious inequalities of gender are reflected in the relative lack of access to education or formal job on the part of the women and their largest vulnerability in relation to the men, to the diseases, violence based on the gender and poverty. For instance, due to their physical and social vulnerability, girls between the 15 and 19 years have the largest tax of infection of HIV in the Country. The women have more reduced resources in relation to the men and they have very less income. In 1995, for instance, more than 95% of the women worked mainly in the agricultural sector, basically in the subsistence agriculture. Only 42% of the women won some money of their agricultural activities.

AMOPROC recognizes the gender as a “traverse subject “key for his/her work in Mozambique (that is, a subject that affects all of the social and economics sectors). AMOPROC has been pointing the gender as a traverse subject and the reference for promotion the equality of gender “to give special attention to the gender, peace and citizenship“ that included in their programs and intervention areas the differences and gender inequalities that has the beginning in the executive staff of AMOPROC, to the training courses and the education materials and sensibilization. Although, as in other work fields, subjects of the gender a lot of times stay invisible or they are confused with the concern of “to include the woman in activities and projects (If the “inclusion”or not in a project predefined it is of the women's interest!) they shows us difficult of operacionalize in practice above all in the political sphere.

AMOPROC has state to develop the conscience and abilities in the analysis and integration of plans and sensitive programs to the gender through special training to their staff in order to give larger professionalization and to give end this area.
